Update: this dead drop has been found. More details to come.
I have just finished setting up the Flashbelt dead drop. I think this one should be pretty interesting. I have upped the prizes on this one. The winner will receive Master Collection CS4, Flex 3 Professional, and some books from O’Reilly. Hurry up because as you know, these contests are often over rather fast.
Submit your email using the form located at the link below to get started. This is just so I can track participants and I won’t be using your email address for anything not related to the dead drop. If you are going to Twitter at all please use the #deaddrop hashtag. Good luck!
Lee

I fixed it so that there is a link to the email form. WordPress was jacking up the form. Sorry about that.
Hey Lee do you think you could make a drawing for a Web Premium Suite or even just Flash Builder/Flash CS4 tomorrow at the conference?
finally found the carriage id but even that was “wrong”. you’re a cruel man, Brimelow.
I found the carriage id, but are stuck with at the next clue. Trying to find something useful on Google Maps street view…
Lee, you should have made your dynamic textfield a single line, ’cause I kept pressing enter en rewriting the id when it dissapeared (or moved up one line in this case)!
Hehe same here, but now I’m stuck at the second clue. I would so love to be able to be there in person.
@Ari I think you have to be there in person to solve the second clue… or have a relative that lives in that area with a lot of free time to go check.
SO CLOSE! just got the last clue and perhaps the position has been compromised and captured already…
Found already? Gotta step it up Lee. Get on it with some asymmetrical encryption and make private key something insane like how many pennies are on the sidewalk between 5th and 67th street.
Then there can be a minotaur with three riddles at the end.
Failure to answer all three correctly will result in being forced to do Silverlight for the rest of eternity.
Is Flex usable with Actionscript only projects? I like the programming tools it provides, but am still not keen on the MXML layer.
Here’s my video regarding how the winners ended up doing a simple raffle:
