Over the past several months I have gotten perhaps 100 or so emails from people asking me what music I used in the “Inspiration I” video at gotoAndLearn(). So I thought it would be a good idea to blog it once and for all so that people who like it know where to find it. The track is from a band called VAST. The title of the song is called “Lady of Dreams” and is from their album entitled Music for People.
Did I get permission to use this music? No, but they way I look at it, I’m giving VAST alot more fans from having it on my site. Plus I’m not making any money from it.

Well I kind-of did this in the reverse order… I happened to see your post on MXNA, and then I came here and found out the song was by VAST, and then I watched the video… I’m already a huge VAST fan, but it’s sweet to see one of their songs being used well. Nice.

Oh, and one more note, if people are going to buy a VAST CD, they should buy “Visual Audio Sensory Theater” first, it’s amazing.
Is former Dio guitarist Rowen Robertson in Vast? I’m not really familiar with Vast I just thought I remembered reading something like that on a Ronnie James Dio website a long time ago.
Yes I agree that Visual Audio Sensory Theater is the better album but Lady of Dreams is perhaps my favorite piece of music of all time.
I’m also using VAST for the little rain movie at http://www.leebrimelow.com. Not all of their music is quite so depressing though
Music For People, as an album, is far better than Visual Audio Sensory Theater.Touched, and Flames are brilliant on the debut, but MFP is stunning. We Will Meet Again is beautiful, both lyrically, and musically. As for Lady Of Dreams-stunning-Jon Crosby is a genius-End Of.
Thanks I heard this music and liked it so much that I went and purchased their albums
