Flash Professional 8 Video Integration Now Live!

videoFlash Professional 8 Video Integration is now live over at the Lynda.com online learning library. The CD-ROM version will be available in a couple of weeks. This title is an in-depth look into using video in your Flash projects. I pretty much covered everything in these tutorials so if you want to learn Flash video, this is definitely the place to go. Those who aren’t members of Lynda.com can still view some of the movies for free.

Check it out at over at Lynda.com.

Let me know what you think of it :-)

  1. gerard says:

I was a bit surprised to see that the online tutorials require Quicktime and not Flash!

  2. Lee Brimelow says:

Heh, yeah I have talked to them about doing them in Flash :-)

  3. russ d says:

Wow, looks like making that took alot of work! So the question is: Do I have to be a member to access the lessons, or could I just buy them outright?

  4. Lee Brimelow says:

    Russ,

A CD-ROM version will be available in a couple of weeks. The only way to view them all online is to be a member. But the CD-ROM version will be great for people who want to watch offline, in a plane, etc.

  5. Ron Todman says:

Hi Lee, First of I have been a member on lynda.com for 2 months what a blessing it is.
Now As for you I watched from begining to end. That was the best intuative series yet I was blown away how much depth you gave into using video in flash 8 Professional.
I certainly plan to use the skills that you have provided.
Also I really would love to see some more After effects and Flash together
something on film like The scene that u used with your tape on your finger tips very good angles
It looked liked the scene from seven. Please creaate a reconstruction on that.
One note you have a good eye for film I see you really breaking into film.
Keep up the Good works and thanks so much for really sharing your ideas and teachings.
    I owe u one

  7. Randy says:

Lee, any idea on how much the CD-ROM will be?

    Thanks,

    Randy

  8. Lee Brimelow says:

You know I actually have no idea. My guess would be somewhere around a $100. I’ll post as soon as it’s released with all the details.

  9. Steve says:

Hi Lee, I’m not sure if this a the best place to post this, I’ve been going through your tutorials on gotoAndLearn.com and also your Lynda learning CD, they’re great.
I’ve made a type of hybrid version of your video player.
But I’m having a problem, if I click several different videos in the list quickly one after another, the buffer screen with the video loading and percent of buffer loaded, appears when ever I click on the video scrubber or other video buttons.
    Any ideas why?

You can look at a version at http://www.rockthesound.com/videoPlayer

    Thanks
    Steve
