gotoAndLearn() Version 2 is Now Live!

I have finally released version 2 of gotoAndLearn(). The site has changed considerably since the last version. The main page consists of a sortable list of all of the tutorials. You can play them in the browser or download the FLV files to watch them offline. There are still a lot things to be worked on but it is good enough to start using.

In addition to the launch of the site there are also 2 new tutorials up there. The first shows you how to use the Tweener AS3 library and the second deals with ActionScript 3 video basics. Enjoy them!

  3. It’s not something small…it’s huge !

    Congratulations ;)

You launched V2 in the same day i launched my beta site about everything Adobe … i will not post the URL, because i don’t like it at all when someone think i am advertising or something .

  4. Liz says:

Fabulous! Love the thumbnails as a visual reminder of each project. I think AS3 is the right place to start, as this is required to get going with AIR. I tried your other AIR tutorials — but keep getting cryptic error messages. Am glad you didn’t suppress that in your new video tutorial — but explained what it meant! Thanks again for these Lee – they’re very valuable. Can’t wait to see what’s next. Cheers, LM

“You will need to get the lastest version of the Flash Player to see these tutorials.”

This sucks, if you use the debug version of the current Flash Player. :-)

    Hi there Lee,

I’ve got a simple question about your ActionScript 3 Video Basics tutorial. And It’s actually not even about the contents of the tutorial.
I would like o know where you got the background you used for that video, I really like it and I would like to use it myself!
Could you mail it to me or a link to where you originally found it?

    FV

  26. Diego says:

    Muchas gracias Platform Evangelist.

  27. Lawrence says:

Awesome. It even looks better than your blog (the margins on this blog are a little messed up at 1024).

Got a suggestion though.. you have so many articles (a lot of scrolling), and it’s all from a php source so why not play with AJAX? You can make it as simple as you like. It could even mean just replacing the content of the div using php to output html.

I’ve got some code that does something similar, email me if you want it..

You could even play with a search feature..

  31. Jon says:

The new layout is great, and the tutorials are better than ever. Keep up the good work; gotoandlearn is easily the best informal instruction (flash or otherwise) I’ve come across on the web.

    Thanks!
