The evangelism team was asked to record a series of video tutorials for the launch of Adobe TV. If you haven’t checked it out before, Adobe TV is the new home for all video content coming out of Adobe, as well as some from the community. In this first video, I show the basics of creating AIR applications in Flash CS3. These were recorded in a studio in front of a green screen. Not my usual tutorial style but it is still pretty cool.

Pretty cool Lee, i hope in the furture you can show a couple of your tutorials there at Adobe Tv.
Getting us used to the new OWL interface! Looking cool.
Adobe TV is still quite buggy (loads of XML errors, very slow loading etc.) for a release version.
Speaking of release versions – Firefox 3 is shattering records!
I am seeing a – “Error #14: HTTP loading operation failed” error.
I can’t subscribe “ADC Presents” series in Adobe Media Player but worked with others like Edge. Can you post the feed url?
Thanks for another informative video.
I was wondering what screen capture software you used for the nice zooms in on detail? Or is it done post capture in a different program?
What camcorder did you use with that greenscreening?
I’ve got a Canon XHA1, mid level prosumer cam. Does Adobe give you the big rigs to play with?
Useful as usual, thank’s lee, but the loading is very slow!
Hi Lee,
Great short and to the point video on publishing Flash apps to Air Apps.
great!
i hope adobe supports more Developing AIR from Flash ( there was little about that at the onAir tour! ). Everything seems to be so Flex | Javascript oriented!
I can imagine a whole list of tutorials on that, so please keep on there and thanks for sharing!
pretty basic but good introduction.
Good stuff!!! I love the push for more Flash (although I understand Flex’s importance — I’m just not a fan)
I’m a designer by heart.. what do you want!!!
Lance
— Lee.. ok to post this on my blog?
Lee:
great video! I am still in awe after your Milan presentation! Great if you post the air app (at gotolearn.com) for bypassing the office boss when he overlooks on your shoulder!
Again thanks!
Great video. !!!!
Is there any option for migration of fla file with AS2 on AIR 1.0 ????
I have tryed this yesterday, but it seem’s that we can work only on AS3.0.
thanks
