Yeah using the new displacement map over an external FLV is possibly pushing the limits. Perhaps if the video clip was a slower fps it would run smoother.
P4 3ghz, 1 gb ram on xp with no chugging, even with itunes going in the background.

Awesome stuff… Worked like a breeze on the Safari. I was just wondering if there was any way i can convince you to put a Play/pause button on the Flv’s examples on which u have tried out the effects. Its quite a strain when flash tries playing both of them together and well also downloading them simultaneously.
btw, when are they planning to realease Flash 8 ?

I’m guessing some of this ‘chugging’ is because the video is streaming and you have a slow connection?
2.6 Ghz processor runs great for me. awesome example.
