I just finished uploading a new tutorial that shows you the basics of getting started with Pixel Bender. This can be scary for people who don’t have a background in pixel shader programming (i.e. me). Over the last few days I have finally figured out enough to be able to record a tutorial on it. This is part 1 of 2 and it shows you how to create a couple of simple filters. Part 2 will show you how to export and load those filters into your Flash movies. Check it out at http://www.gotoandlearn.com.

Thanks for this. I just read about it and there it is… a new tutorial. Thanks.
thank you!
Oh I’ve been avoiding this one, not enough time in the day. Looks like there’s no excuse for not sitting down with it now, thanks Lee.
Good stuff, great tutorial as always
Hi Lee,
Where is the part 2 ?
Thanks
JP
I now that its totally not your problem but may be you could explain what happens to this on zooming in and out and showing all
http://mrdoob.com/lab/effects/shaders/Sphere.html
http://mrdoob.com/lab/effects/shaders/Tunnel.html
etc (latest mrdoobs post can be seen for ex on http://ricardocabello.com/blog/)
why it all renderers so strangely?
PS zooming in and out in FL10 is really bad part)
Nice Lee! Thank you.
Is that the logo for PixelBender? I like it.
I watched the tutorial and its great! And if by scary, you mean exciting, hehe. I’ll be happy to watch part 2 when you have time to put that up (jeanphilippe really can’t wait, huh?).
Is there a list somewhere that lists all the properties you can change in PixelBender?
Thank again Lee,
Christian
