Natzke-inspired Flash math animation

I remember sitting at my first Flash Forward years ago watching Erik Natzke’s Black and White video and being blown away. Well thanks to how far Flash has come since then, it is much easier to do those kinds of effects. The video below is something I did in about half an hour using the animation from this post. How did I do it? Well that is the topic for my next tutorial at gotoAndLearn().

PS – Does anyone have a link to Erik’s Black and White video?

  1. That’s really cool, Lee. Who’s the author of the audio? It sounds like Squarepusher or Aphex Twin.

Probably a silly question but do you ever have trouble finding beats that mix well w/ your videos?

  6. Nice stuff. Seems like everyone at FOTB has been pretty inspired by Natzke this year. I know I and a couple of the other guys at mN have been playing around with our own big’ol’canvas and rendering out to videos. I’ve also been linking it to sound inspired by Robert Hodgin’s talk.

It was my first FOTB and its inspired me to do things I wouldn’t normally do, I can’t wait till next year!

This was so much fun I don’t know where to begin. I will be experimenting with more ideas like this for a long time.Thanks.
