Amazingly it was retrieved around 2:30am. I didn’t think anyone would attempt it in the dead of night. I received an email with the code word so it is legit. They sent the following photo to me. Looks like they left a note for others in case they get there. The next drop will have to be a little more challenging
.

Stay tuned for the next drop,
Lee

Great stuff again Lee, maybe you could do these drops while you are on tour, then readers from around the globe can benefit from your generosity.
Can you have Ryan do this up in Washington?
I bet there’s no CS4 in that packet but a DVD of some half naked guys cage fighting
You should encode the location somehow next time. That way you have to decipher the code then find the location.
As you’re coming to Amsterdam, just drop a box in Belgium too
Very cool idea Lee, you’re the Man!
Gratz!
It’s funny. It looks like a kilo of cocaine in this photo.
I was thinking the same exact thing. Coke, CS4 and beer. What a lethal mix.
Waiting for one in Cracow
Great idea Lee!
Haha! Great idea. It could of been the wrong drop, that was found, and he could of had a bag of coke instead of CS4!
How come you came up with this idea Lee? It would make me search it nonstop till death….
That’s a super fun idea. Thanks for getting it going Lee.
Next drop does need some sort of “code” for the location.
Why don’t you do something more challenging like an game, not an flash game, an puzzle, you discover an hidden message that will get you to another, and again till you end up with the coordinates.
It will be very disappointing for who discover them but don’t live close to the place, possibly none will find it.
maybe, just maybe, my idea isn’t very good.
Or you could tell just where close to the drop, but not the coords, then it will work.
Only who lives in an accessible range will try the puzzle.
Maybe it isn’t that bad idea.
@Daniel Yes the next drop will definitely be more challenging
SICK!
Love it. This is brilliant.
Lets go world-wide, from the bayou to the barbe!
What would be really cool is if the person who finds the drop leaves something for others to find in the same place. It would never end! lol
i have to go back home! darn! maybe next time!
Lee, when are you visiting Atlanta? I’d love to get in on something like this, sounds like a ton of fun.
Hi Lee!
Nice one! Great stuff! But, when you go to Amsterdam… Can’t you do a little “D-TOUR” and swing by Arnhem???
Platform Evangelist at Adobe? Lee, you should be Director of marketing. Great promotional idea and congratulations to the lucky treasure hunter.
Let’s do a European drop
Do it in amsterdam during your stay!
that’s fantastic!
that’s great sir..haha
DAMN!!!!! I went there yesterday and couldn’t find an accessible way to get to the site!! I had a shovel and everything ready to go!!
Can’t you dig in hungary?
Can somebody explain what the hay is this “drop”?! Some secret scavenger hunt?!
Is there any way that one could get a similar prize to give away locally? I already have CS4, but I think it would be an awesome activity for our local Flash/Adobe/Multimedia users group. Is there someone at Adobe I can contact about setting this up locally? I’m in Muncie, Indiana, so the chances of anything like this happening without quite a bit of persistence is very low.
Please let me know, either here or via email. I’m very interested in seeing if there are any possibilities.
@lee. Have you seen notpron.com ? A puzzle like that would be great, you could use other evangelist’s blogs as well to make it more tricky.
I would have been there first, but google maps put me at 1 day 6 hours drive away and my Tardis is in the shop.
