I am currently developing a title with Lynda.com entitled “Flash 8 Video Integration” which will go into all of these topics. I’m planning on making it the most in-depth training available for Flash video. But to answer your questions, yes you need to shoot video like this on either a blue or green screen and then use After Effects or another video program to key out the background. If you search around online you should be able to find existing greenscreen footage that you can try this out with.

How does one do such a cool thing in flash?
Can you tell me how you exported the video with alpha. I tried using Final cut express with animation settings and millions of colors + – how do i get the transparency in flash so I can put a model in front of a webpage.
